FRequently asked Questions

Dent repair

Q: Should I call my insurance agent to file a claim for door dings and/or minor dents?”
A: In most cases, the cost for your non-hail repair will be less than your insurance deductible so you wouldn’t have to file a claim. Finishing Touch Car Care, Inc. will provide you with a free-estimate so you can make an informed decision.

Q: My insurance company sent a check with both the lien holder and my name on it. Can I cash or deposit it on my own?
A: We highly recommend, that you get the appropriate endorsements from all parties before trying to deposit or cash a check –you may be committing a crime, if you don’t. Most lenders will gladly write an endorsement over to Finishing Touch Car Care, Inc., knowing that the vehicle is being appropriately repaired and will retain it’s value. If you just need advice or want help, please feel free to ask for our assistance in obtaining the lien holder’s endorsement.

Q: What if I get the insurance check but I want to use the money for something else besides repairing my vehicle?
A: You should check with your insurance agent regarding “un-repaired damage” restrictions and how this can affect your future insurance claims.

Q: Don’t I have to use the body repair shop that my insurance company directs me to?
A: At Finishing Touch Car Care, we work for YOU – we will not compromise on our quality just to get insurance referral jobs.

Q: Will PDR work to remove dents from my car, truck, or motorcycle?
A: PDR can be performed on all of today’s domestic and imported vehicles. It’s not limited to new vehicles. Classic, collector cars, street rods and motorcycles can also be repaired with PDR. The location and size of the damage as well as the current condition of your car’s paint are factors we use to determine whether PDR is your best option.

Finishing Touch Car Care Inc. PDR warranties that the factory paint will not fade, peel or crack due to paintless dent removal and that the hail dents and/or dings will not return as long as the customer owns the vehicle.

At Finishing Touch Car Care, our philosophy is to treat every single vehicle as if it were our very own. Using the art of paintless dent repair we are able to bring a vehicle that has suffered damage from a hail storm, back to its original condition. At FTCC, no dent is too big for us.

"I have a 1933 Ford with House of Colors custom paint. Some guy backed into it and left a big dent. The guys at Finishing Touch did a fantastic job removing the dent, like it never happened. So I brought my wives Mustang convertible there with an older door ding in it and they fixed that. Dan and the guys, great job!"

"Dan and his crew did a fantastic job on our classic 1967 Chevrolet Impala convertible. It has been in our family since new and after 50 years (and only 20,000 original miles) it had a few storage dings and a wrinkled fender. Now it looks great after Finishing Touch worked their magic."
