FRequently asked Questions
Dent repair
Q: Should I call my insurance agent to file a claim for door dings and/or minor dents?”
A: In most cases, the cost for your non-hail repair will be less than your insurance deductible so you wouldn’t have to file a claim. Finishing Touch Car Care, Inc. will provide you with a free-estimate so you can make an informed decision.
Q: My insurance company sent a check with both the lien holder and my name on it. Can I cash or deposit it on my own?
A: We highly recommend, that you get the appropriate endorsements from all parties before trying to deposit or cash a check –you may be committing a crime, if you don’t. Most lenders will gladly write an endorsement over to Finishing Touch Car Care, Inc., knowing that the vehicle is being appropriately repaired and will retain it’s value. If you just need advice or want help, please feel free to ask for our assistance in obtaining the lien holder’s endorsement.
Q: What if I get the insurance check but I want to use the money for something else besides repairing my vehicle?
A: You should check with your insurance agent regarding “un-repaired damage” restrictions and how this can affect your future insurance claims.
Q: Don’t I have to use the body repair shop that my insurance company directs me to?
A: At Finishing Touch Car Care, we work for YOU – we will not compromise on our quality just to get insurance referral jobs.
